Air circulation in the room stale-needed more fresh air.

The hotel is decorated with extensive interesting art.
Hanging space for clothes is limited.

This is an outstanding boutique hotel with the highpoints being its location, immaculate rooms and tasteful art that is everywhere. The CD player with blues and jazz CDs is also a plus as is the free wine in the evenings. The only minor quible is that minimal space to hang your clothes. Eclectic decor reminiscent of Europe. Very courteous staff.
No coffeemaker in room, small elevator.

This hotel is in a great location in Union Square with quaint, old-world charm. The hotel staff was extremely friendly and courteous and my stay, although short, was very pleasant.

The staff and the exceptional service I received, as well as the complimentary wine every night!
Rooms were a little on the small side, however the hotel staff upgraded us to larger room for no additional fee.

This hotel is very classy, warm, inviting, comfortable and quaint! Exceptional staff, everyone! I've never been disappointed, but this was absolutely the best service, I've experienced yet.

The nicest hotel staff, bar none.
Poor room conditions, no AC, old bedding.

There are better choices for hotels in the boutique category in s.f.o. although the staff was excellent, the hotel's decor and room furnishings were lacking quality.

Small rooms.

We stayed there with our two kids (1 and 8 years old). We had a good time there, but the hotel room was quite small for us, because we had a portable crib for the baby. But the room was very nice, so we still liked it. We liked the lobby and small bar very much and enjoyed the complementary wine in the evening. I was very close to where we wanted to be in the city.
The room was very small, they charged us $40 a day to park our car.

I liked the hotels location but the amenities did not match up with the price. And I was not told that I would be charged $40.00 a day for parking until I checked out, (not good).
